Some people enter parenthood with excitement and joy, others with fear and uncertainty. While I carried my own worries, I knew deep in my bones that I wanted to be a mother, to love my children with everything I had.

What I was not prepared for was how my journey as a parent would unfold.

There is no handbook for the unfair battles some parents must fight. There is no manual for the grief of losing a child to addiction, alienation, death, or the harsh turns of life. There is only the choice to endure, to evolve, adapt, and continue loving through it all.
